Alright, I took over 100 pictures last night, but a lot of them were of faceoffs, so I won't bother with many of those here. Enjoy!

We're here!

This was just wrong. This guy had his kid standing on an electrical box with a sign saying how much he wanted tickets:

Warm up time:

Tee hee:

It's game time!

The section of Ottawa fans who were no doubt disappointed in the outcome:

Final score!

The handshakes:

Scott Niedermayer with the Conn Smythe Trophy for MVP:

The holy grail of sport:

Here we are with our seatmates, who have saved us hundreds of dollars by letting us park for free in the county lot:

Me and Steve. Yes, he's been crying:

I also have a ton of pictures from the aftermath, where everyone is just hanging out on the ice, posing with the Stanley Cup. I have a doctor's appointment in a little bit, so I'll post those when I get back!

Date: 2007-06-08 04:14 am (UTC)I'm very happy for you guys and am glad you and Steve got to experience that.
I'm *not* happy that the Ducks won and I'm not happy for *them* in the slightest. I cried too, but not on their behalf. B/c of memories from 8 years ago.
My dad was being a 'nice guy' and gave his ticket that night to my SIL so she could go (and she's not even a hockey fan!!). My parents had 2 sets of tickets, and posted the sect 439 ones on the Ducks ticket exchange and got well over $1000 for them (paid $100 each initially).

Date: 2007-06-08 05:10 am (UTC)OMG, WHY would your dad give up his ticket to someone who isn't even a fan?! That just blows my mind. I couldn't believe how much tickets in the nosebleeds were going for; we could've made some serious bank!
