* I was feeling brave today, so I bundled Owen up in his stroller, and we walked to the library and grocery store. It was cool outside, but sunny, so the 15-20 minute walk wasn't too bad. When we left the library, I noticed that some clouds had moved in, and when we left the grocery store, it was really overcast and windy. Later, when I dropped Steve off at work from his lunch break, it was pouring rain.

* Speaking of rain, I LOVE this weather right now. We got a couple of really nice downpours tonight. Unfortunately, I'm going to assume that my other moms group meetup is out, because it's a picnic in the park.

* I finished my 4th book yesterday, and got 5 more today. Here's what I got:

Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
Every Secret Thing by Ann Tatlock
Snow Angel by Jamie Carie
Daniel Isn't Talking by Marti Leimbach

* I also bought the book Light on Snow by Anita Shreve. If anyone has any opinions on any of these books, I'd love to hear them!

* I cannot keep a bandaid on Owen's finger to save my life! He's gone through 4 bandaids since yesterday; they just won't stay on, which makes applying Neosporin much more difficult. I just keep cleaning it, and dabbing some Neosporin on it. I hope that'll do the trick.

Owen went down last night at about 8:30, woke up around 1:30 or so (I think, maybe he didn't wake up at all), then didn't wake up again until about 6:10. I fed him in bed, and he went back to sleep until 9:40! Woo hoo for sleeping in!

Unfortunately, Steve was still sleeping when I got up with Owen. That means, yes, he's going into work late again. He didn't come to bed until 1:30am! I bitched him out when he came to bed. I should clarify that he will be working until 7:30, so he's still getting a full day of work in, but the point of last week and this week was for him to score some major overtime. Now that he's a supervisor, they can't make him work it though, and he's taking advantage of that, which I think is shitty. Plus, his hockey team owes $800 to the league, and he's going to be paying it himself, and hoping that he'll get some reimbursement from the team. That hit would be a lot easier to take if it had come out of his overtime check, but since he's not working as much overtime, there goes that.

In other news, I'm about 100 pages away from finishing the third book I picked up at the library. Three books in a week? I'm impressed with myself :). I finished the first book in two days, and the second book in about 3. I think I'm on the 3rd day of this book now. And here I was, stressing about whether or not I'd be able to finish 4 books in 3 weeks. The last one looks a little more serious than the other 3 I've read, and thicker too, so that'll probably take longer to finish.

I'm happy to say that I've already finished Confessions of a Shopaholic, go me :D! I thought it was a really cute book. The letters from the banks and credit cards were so funny, and I was seriously laughing out loud at the one from the Bank of Helsinki. Good stuff. I found myself getting really annoyed with her when she just kept piling on the lies; invested much?

In other news, my Billy Joel tickets have been printed, woo hoo :D!

Owen is sitting in his Jumperoo right now, eating the little bug that's attached to it. He doesn't know how to properly jump in the thing. I've never bothered to try doing it for him, but I did it just now, and he was cracking up! Now he just needs to figure out how to do it himself, rather than hopping from foot to foot.

* I went to the library today and got 4 books. I've apparently set a lofty goal for myself, to finish 4 books by the end of January. I got Confessions of a Shopaholic, Night Swimming, How to Be Cool, and The Last Boy. Anyone have any comments about any of the last three books I listed? They just jumped out at me, and I'm hoping they're good. I started Confessions of a Shopaholic already. I'm about 60 pages in and love it so far.

* Mr. Owen is asleep already and it's only 8:20. He went down at about 7:45, which is uncharacteristically early for him. Looks like Steve will be joining him soon. Poor guy has been putting in a ton of hours at work this week.

* Saturday night is Blue Man Group, woo hoo! I'm very excited, but also a little apprehensive, as it will be our first baby-free evening since Owen was born. Yeah, just a little late ;). I'm sure he'll be fine, but he's used to being nursed to bed, so I won't be surprised if he's still awake when we get home.

* I'm proud that I've been eating a little healthier lately. Even though I'm still having fast food, I've been getting chicken soft tacos at Taco Bell, which are nothing but chicken, lettuce, and cheese. No sauce or anything. I've been cooking more, and adding more fruit to my diet. Yay me!

* I was interested in joining a mom's group that I read about in Parents magazine, and I have yet to attend a meeting or other event. You guys probably wouldn't know this about me, including those of you who know me in person, but I'm very shy, and don't do well in social settings. Plus, I'm afraid this group will be so high school and clique-y. I know I'll never know unless I go, and I seriously don't know what I'm so afraid of. Bah.
