* I was feeling brave today, so I bundled Owen up in his stroller, and we walked to the library and grocery store. It was cool outside, but sunny, so the 15-20 minute walk wasn't too bad. When we left the library, I noticed that some clouds had moved in, and when we left the grocery store, it was really overcast and windy. Later, when I dropped Steve off at work from his lunch break, it was pouring rain.

* Speaking of rain, I LOVE this weather right now. We got a couple of really nice downpours tonight. Unfortunately, I'm going to assume that my other moms group meetup is out, because it's a picnic in the park.

* I finished my 4th book yesterday, and got 5 more today. Here's what I got:

Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
Every Secret Thing by Ann Tatlock
Snow Angel by Jamie Carie
Daniel Isn't Talking by Marti Leimbach

* I also bought the book Light on Snow by Anita Shreve. If anyone has any opinions on any of these books, I'd love to hear them!

* I cannot keep a bandaid on Owen's finger to save my life! He's gone through 4 bandaids since yesterday; they just won't stay on, which makes applying Neosporin much more difficult. I just keep cleaning it, and dabbing some Neosporin on it. I hope that'll do the trick.

I really enjoyed the Notebook as well as the Shopaholic books. Haven't read the others.

Have you tried that liquid bandaid stuff? I've never used it, but I think you just squeeze some on and it dries on the skin. Might be something to look into if you can't get a regular bandaid to stay on.

I was going to get the liquid bandaid stuff, but it said to keep out of reach of children, so I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to put it on his skin :D.

OMG!! I am loving that it is pouring outside, all except for the fact that the dog got all wet and tracked dirt all over my kitchen floor!

I recently read The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks. One of my all time fave books. I am reading his new book right now.....The Choice. It was a Christmas gift from the IL's. So far I am enjoying it. :)

Someone else recommended The Choice also, but my library doesn't have it yet, so I guess I'll have to wait a while for it.

I'm making up for lots of lost time. I haven't picked up a book (baby books aside) for years.

Not sure where he cut his finger, but Eli's cut was on the tip, so we wrapped a bandaid over the tip (length-wise, covering his fingernail) and then wrapped a second bandaid around his finger and over the first bandaid to hold it all on. That seemed to work really well. Also, we got those mini-bandaids for kids and they seemed to stay on better since they weren't as bulky.

His is on his first finger in the crease of his top knuckle (palmar side). I looked for some mini bandaids, but all of the kids' ones I saw were those tattoo ones and they were even bigger than the others I have.

Could you wrap some medical tape over top of the bandage? It comes off fairly easily, so no skin irritation.

I'm sure you will enjoy the Shopaholic book, it is the only one I have read on your list. I am reading the last in the Shopaholic series Shopaholic and Baby right now, and it is funny so far!

Sorry about the bandaids, I'm no help on that. Liam sucks his thumb and with this cold weather, it is SO chapped.

Way to go on all the reading! I really should get a library card, but I have a stockpile of books to read at home & get books & B&N gift cards for bdays and Christmas. I'm loving this weather too! Bummer that the picnic in the park got cancelled, but the mall was fun too. :)
