What a surprise

Am I the only who is totally not surprised that the "mystery" hair product was Head and Shoulders?

This morning, Owen woke up at about 7:15, which is pretty early for him. He didn't feel like falling back to sleep, so we went into his room so that he could play on his playmat. I put my head down on his Boppy and put a blanket over me while he played. We both ended up falling asleep on the floor, and woke up at almost 10!

Our appointment for portraits was at 11 this morning, so when Owen and I got up at 10, I had to scramble to shower, get ready, dry my hair, and all that good stuff. We made it to JCPenney at 11, right on the dot. What time were we seen for our pictures? 11:45. Yeah, we sat there for 45 minutes; we were pissed! There was only one person in there, getting pictures taken of her newborn, and they were taking FOREVER. I should've gotten some free shit out of that. We got a few really cute pictures, and I made sure to get the Smiles by Wire this time, so I'll be able to post them for you all in about 2 weeks. The good news is that since we got ours done by the 19th, we'll get to pick them in a week, woo hoo!

I need to breathe

So since we have this nice new house (new for us) and a new baby, I decided to host Christmas at our house this year. With my family, Steve's family, and the three of us, that makes 9. Add my grandma, my uncle, and my cousin, and we have 12. Getting a little tight here. My aunt wasn't sure if she had to work on Christmas, but it turns out that she doesn't, so she's coming over too. With her family, that makes 17. I'm stressing a little.

But wait, there's more! My mom called me tonight to let me know that her cousin and her cousin's husband will be coming, and my piece of shit cousins will also be coming with their 2 babies. All in all, we're going to have 23 people at my house, ack! I'm having an anxiety attack just thinking about it. We don't have enough room for all these people, but I couldn't turn anyone away, it's Christmas!

Any party planners have any tips for me?
