Owen slept through the night last night, yay! He went down a little after 9, and woke up at 7. I guess he did wake up once at about 2am, farted, and then went back to sleep. Steve and I had a nice little laugh about that one. Unfortunately, we didn't go to bed until 2am, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy all the uninterrupted sleep.
Today, we met up with our friends Rhonda and Eric. They moved to Colorado almost 2 years ago, and we haven't seen them in a year. They're a lot of fun to hang out with, because they have dark, twisted senses of humor like Steve and me, so we don't feel the need to censor ourselves around them. We went to dinner at a local barbecue restaurant, and Owen slept the entire time. Nice!
Rhonda just helped me out big time. She brought two little gifts for Owen; a stuffed dinosaur, and a small lovey blanket with a little bear attached to it. Since Owen can't soothe himself back to sleep right now, I've been looking into getting him a lovey to cuddle with at night, like one of my fellow June mommies and LJ buddies. I couldn't find what I wanted online, so I checked out Etsy and found a few cute ones, but the ones I really liked were $42. A little more than I wanted to spend. I put him to bed with the lovey tonight, and I'm hoping it will help!
Oh great, Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister is pregnant. That's fantastic. That poor girl is going to end up a train wreck, just like her sister.
Oh yeah, and it's raining, hooray! This weather always makes me super happy. I love listening to it.
