I had a big divide, too (which was no surprise). But if you look at the questions, it's all the hot button issues that generally divide the 2 parties--same sex marriage, abortion, gun control, death penalty. It doesn't really ask about some of the issues for which there's more overlap, like education, for example. And most of the questions/answers seemed to be posed in absolutes, so that you're either for something or against it, when in reality, there's a much wider spectrum of possible answers.
