Appointments and shopping

Yesterday, I had my 38 week appointment. I'm happy to report that I'm 1cm dilated and 50% effaced, yay! I know it doesn't mean anything, but it's exciting to have already made some progress. My blood pressure was good at 120/78, but I gained 6 pounds since last week! What the hell?!
Today, Steve and I had an interview with a pediatrician who works in the same office that Steve went to when he was a kid. They were very friendly, and handed us a pamphlet of information about the office, pretty much negating the need for us to ask questions about his philosophies on things. They always have someone on call, and they have special hours set aside for same-day visits for sick kids, which I thought was pretty cool.
Tomorrow is my high school reunion. I made it, yay! So tonight, I finally went out shopping to get a dress. As luck would have it, I found a non-maternity dress made of a stretchy material, so I went for that, knowing that I would be able to wear it again post-pregnancy. It makes me look thin from the front, so of course, I'm loving it :). It looks like these, but it's black. I wish I could've gotten one of the colored ones, they're pretty!

I also got a new pair of shoes to go along with it, since all of my shoes are open-toed, and figured that my white ass needed a pair of nude pantyhose to cover my pastiness. They have a low heel, which is nice, and they're closed-toed, so they were perfect! And I got them for only $16.99 at Target, nice.

Date: 2007-06-09 03:54 pm (UTC)Those dresses are so cute!! I can't believe your reunion is so soon...ours isn't until Sept. Where's yours at? We're having ours at the Queen Mary, which, in my personal life, is played out. BFF's wedding last year, my girlfriends wedding next weekend...I'm over it. ;)
Have fun!! Dance and dance and dance...it'll help get Owen out. ;)
