So I went with a dark horse and decided to get this as Owen's coming home outfit:

It's a 5-piece set, so I figured it was perfect! My only concern is that it says it's for 0-6 months, so I wonder if it's going to be huge on him.

It's very cute!

But I'm guessing it's going to be huge. Paige was 6lbs 14 ozs and had premie outfits that were HUGE on her. Hunter was 7lbs 10 ozs and his was a 0-3 and was big too. I don't think it really matters, everything you have in the very begining will be huge. You can always roll the waist or legs or sleeves.

Thanks! I'm guessing it's going to be huge too. It says "one size" on the tag, but the box said it was for 0-6 months, and it says it's called a "take me home" outfit. But I'm far from hoping that he's a big baby just to make him fit ;).

Landen was 9lbs and he was swimming in 0-3 clothes. He wore premie for awhile even, but now they have Newborn size out, mainly from Carters. Definitely get a few newborn outfits.

Mia also wore premie for a while (2-3 weeks) and she was 8 lbs 2 oz!

Yep, all newborns are tiny for that first 2-4 weeks.

it's so cute! But yeah, very likely to be too big. Logan was 8lbs 3oz, and his 0-3 coming home outfit was so big I had to tuck the legs back up under him! but if you love it, use it :D it's not like he'll care!

Goodness, and I thought newborn stuff was only supposed to fit up to 8lbs!

I guess that depends on how big he is when he comes out, eh? ;) I'm just kidding around... that is a really cute outfit!!

Very cute!! But yeah - likely to be huge. I had a newborn outfit to bring Zach home in and he was swimming. We bought a premie this time around! lol

adorable but like others said, likely large. LJ was 7 lbs 11 ounces and he wore a premie outfit home (My wise mother's idea... love her for that) and was able to fit in the premie outfit for a few weeks even though I didn't consider him, necessarily, a small baby.

Dang, and I know Steve will have my head on a stick if I go out and buy yet another :).

Very cute! It will probably be too big, since know LC had a few carters sets that were 0-6mths, and they seemed more like 3-6mths. Plus if you have a small baby they usually wear newborn, but you could make it work I'm sure. Dry it too. Adorable.

Maybe I'll dry it on super high and shrink it, haha!

You could always bring a backup onesie and he could just wear the tee over it with the hat and booties. It's a cute outfit though.

Mia was 8lbs 2 oz and we put her in a premie outfit that was still a tad large on her. I would see if you could find something smaller if I were you.

Babies are just so scrunched up when they are first born and they loose weight before discharge.

Leo was 9lbs 4 oz and 22.5 inches long and the 0-3 months clothes were snug - they only fit him for a couple of weeks. How big were you and Steve as babies?
