Why don't people ever listen to me?!

Yesterday, when I got called into work, the girl said I could either go in yesterday or today. I told her that I couldn't come in today because I have to leave the house at 4:30 to go to a hockey game. I made that perfectly clear.

When I was leaving work yesterday, I put a note on her computer saying that I was coming in to do my trays for the next two cases. She then proceeds to leave me a voicemail today, saying that I could come in at 3 because she has to go to the DMV, and then work until 5. HELLO! I can't work until 5! I said that yesterday! But there is no one else to work the front office, so how much do you want to bet that I end up there anyway! It's the effing playoffs, I have to get there by 5:30, or I can't park damn it!

Add that to the fact that I'm not really speaking to my husband right now, and I'm having an all around crappy day :(.

ETA: Oh good, I just talked to her, and she said that it was fine. She'll just put the phones on the answering service. Thank God.

Too close for comfort

Wow, we barely won that game tonight! We were kicking ass, up 2-0 at the end of the second period. But then the third period started, and everything went to crap. Calgary pretty much scored off the face-off, 11 seconds in, and then scored another goal at 3:27. Luckily, they didn't score any more off us, and we beat them in overtime, woo hoo! That means that we'll get to use our game 6 tickets, and hopefully that will win the series for us. Go Ducks!

I got a call from the temp agency to go back to the golf place and do some mass mailings. Oh fun. So with that, and the 4 hours I put in at the plastic surgeon's yesterday, I'll be making an extra $150. Yay!
