I can't believe I did it!

I sang karaoke last night! My friend Travis was in town from Boston, and I haven't seen him for about 3 1/2 years, so I went out with him, his sister, and some of his friends to a little Chinese restaurant to sing some karaoke. I didn't think I would do it, but after slamming a Midori sour, I felt pretty prepared. I didn't actually get home until 1:45 this morning, it was so much fun!

Neighborly love

Our neighbors invited us over to their house for a barbecue today, and we had a pretty good time. One of Steve's fellow soccer teammates came over, along with his wife and their two kids, ages 3 and 9 1/2 months. At one point, we were hanging out in the backyard with the baby, and it was just Steve and me. He was talking to her and counting to her, and she was completely mesmerized by it. It was so cute. I think that's the most that I've ever seen Steve interact with a baby. I know he's going to be a good dad someday :).
