Happy New Year everyone! I hope you were all able to ring it in with someone that you love. I spent a few hours last night at a friend's house; she had a small dinner party which was very nice. I prefer the small, intimate gatherings over the big crowds. I ended up leaving at 11pm to head home to my sick whiny husband. Steve has been sick all week, and he was being a bitch as well, so I ended up going to the party solo. That ultimately ended up being a good idea, because I had a much better time without him.

Our stupid TiVo decided to change the channel right as the ball dropped, so we didn't even get to see it! We kissed to a stupid infomercial for something :). Then we changed it back and saw everyone celebrating. I swear, one year in my life, I'm going to be in Times Square for New Year's.

After the excitement of ringing in the New Year wore off, we watched Napoleon Dynamite. That movie had some funny moments, but it was just weird. I didn't know what the hell it was about. We ended up going to bed at 3am, yikes!

Today, whenever Steve wakes up (it's now 11:30, so it'll probably be a few more hours), we're going to IHOP for breakfast. It's become our tradition, so I'm happy to be continuing it. Before we were married, I always went up to his house and spent the night there for New Year's, and then we went to IHOP the next day. This is our 7th year going. Wow, I can't believe it's been that many years. He'll still be asleep for a few more hours, which is okay with me, because that gives me a chance to watch the Rose Parade.
