* Thursday afternoon, my friend Marcie and I went out to lunch for her birthday. Shannon and Steve had mentioned wanting to go to lunch, so we all ended up at the same restaurant. Funny coincidence, and we didn't even end up sitting together.

* Thursday night, my brother randomly showed up at my house. I asked what he was doing here, and he said that he and Steve were going to the Kings vs. Ducks game. Steve had totally forgotten, and was already in his pajamas. He got ready in a hurry and off they went.

* Friday afternoon, my parents came over so that my dad could work on the new cage he's making for my iguana.

* Friday night was Marcie's birthday party, so Steve asked my brother to go with him to the Sharks vs. Ducks game. I had a great time at the party, though everyone kept telling me how tiny my belly was. I ended up not getting home until 1am. I'm such a party animal :).

* On Saturday, Steve and I were out and about. We went to Sam's Club and spent $90 on diapers and wipes, yikes! After Sam's Club, we hit Lowe's and bought a new showerhead because ours cracked.

* We went to Babies R Us and ordered our nursery furniture! I thought it would be a good idea to order it early because I had heard that it would take 6-8 weeks, but the style that we ordered will be arriving in 7-14 days. Oops. We also wanted to order our glider and ottoman, but they were having problems with their system, so they're supposed to be calling us today and letting us know what's going on with it. We're getting a Dutailier, and I can't believe how ridiculously expensive it is!

* Sunday, we were up early for Steve's soccer game, which they lost. In the afternoon, my parents and Steve's mom came over to talk about contributing to the furniture fund. My mom didn't think we needed a dresser/changer and an armoire, but I made the argument that we have no storage in this house, so I needed furniture to store things in, like bath stuff. She accepted my argument, so each set of parents is going to pay for one of our dressers, score!

* Sunday night was Ducks vs. Predators. We were never in the lead the whole game, and we ended up going to overtime. We couldn't score in overtime, so we went to a shoot-out, which typically means certain death for us because we suck at them. But miracle of all miracles, we won!

* Steve called me today to ask me to go to the hockey store and get him a new goalie stick. I asked what was in it for me, and when he asked what I wanted, I told him that Owen needed some more clothes. I'm such a brat :).

Target usually has good prices on diapers and wipes. So does 1800diapers.com. I keep hearing how Costco and Sam's Club have such good deals on formula, diapers and wipes, but haven't been able to find the diapers & wipes that we use there.

I actually buy my diapers at Wal-Mart. The cheapest I've found around here for Huggies (the only kind my kids can wear). Except when I find the bigger boxes at Target. I wait till they clx them and then buy em all!:) But I do want to caution you on buying too many. You'll prob get bunches as gifts plus as I said before, my kids can only wear Huggies. They fit them the best and won't leak. My SIL can only use pampers.

Glad to read you are getting a glider! I love mine and try to recommend them to all new moms. I don't know what I would do without mine :) I also recommend not stocking up on too many diapers. I had a bunch of Huggies (all gifts) but Braeden is a Pamper's boy!
Yay for shopping :)

Oh yeah and with the diapers, if you end up with a bunch of opened packages of diapers that you can't/don't need and don't want them to go to waste, there's a shelter in Tustin that will take donations. We got a TON of diapers at the shower and ended up only being able to use Luvs for the first 2-2.5 mos b/c of leakage probs with Huggies and Pampers (and a few store-brand). Here's their info: http://www.operationoc.org/donate/donate.htm

We donated 3 unopened packages and like 6-7 opened packages and got a receipt for around $75 for the donation. And we had only purchased one of those packages ourselves. ;)

You have an iguana? Are you planning on keeping it after the baby is born? I only ask as I used to have one myself (well, actually it was my boyfriends but anyway...) I am a big fan of them but I learned when we had ours that there is a danger of salmonella poisoning, particularly to babies/children who have iguanas in the home. Have you heard about that before?
