Last night, I developed this little tickle in my throat, the tell-tale sign that I was about to get sick. I woke up this morning and I could barely swallow, it was so excruciating! I have a big case tomorrow at work, but I called today and said that if I feel this way, there's no way I could do the case, so they called another nurse in, and the regular nurse will fill in for my job. I feel badly about it, but I need to be taking care of myself, especially now that I'm growing this little person inside me. Knowing my luck, I'll probably feel fine tomorrow, and then I'll miss out on about $200 for not working. Right now, I'm sitting in the leather chaise, drinking some hot tea, and watching Babies: Special Delivery.

Speaking of babies, I wanted to congratulate one of my special journal buddies who just announced that she is pregnant! I won't out her here, but if she wants to say something, she's more than welcome ;).

I hope you start to feel better soon! Especially since you can't take anything. The sore throat may be because of the dryness in your house. I have a terrible one every morning because of the heater. I sound like I smoke 2 packs a day until I drink something hot.

Thanks! My husband's co-worker told me that I could take Chloraseptic, but when I looked it up, I found out it was a category C, so I'm not going anywhere near it. We run the heater almost continually, especially lately, so that might not even be it. I just had a huge glass of tea, and it seems to have helped, but I can feel it coming back. I can also feel some pain in my neck, blech.

I'm also sick. There's definitely something going around in this area. Plus the huge change in weather doesn't help. Can you suck on cough drops? If not, peppermints might help a little. I've been drinking a ton of water because it's the only time my throat feels fine. Being sick definitely sucks.

According to the Safe Fetus website, most Chloraseptic type cough drops are a category C, so I'd rather not go there. I feel like my eyeballs hurt too, it's weird. Hope you get better soon!

Sorry to hear you're feeling sick! I had a sore throat, cough, congestion a couple weeks ago. Tylenol Cold and Ricola were my best friends through it all. :)

Yep, that's pretty much me right now. The congestion is what's really killing me now.
