After many years of the same design, Honda is redesigning their CR-V. I’m still not sure if I love it or not, because I really do love the old, boxy design. Plus, I read in Consumer Reports that the rear visibility is now hindered as a result.

Here’s the 2006 model:

And here’s the 2007 model:

Kinda looks like a cross between a Toyota RAV4, and a BMW X5 or something.

Okay, I’m totally sold. It has a “miles to empty” indicator! My dad had one in an old car, and I loved it. Plus, I’m always afraid of running out of gas, so that’s perfect for me.

I love having a miles to empty indicator. I live by that thing.

HUGE improvement IMHO. Old one was BORING! I love the miles to empty indicator in my car - except that it dings when I still have 35 miles left...SHEESH! :)

I really like this car now and I know they are AWESOME SUV's. Are you thinking of getting a new car?

I'm not completely sold on the re-design. Oddly, I love the boxiness of the current design :). I really want a CR-V, but I probably won't be getting one any time soon. My car that I have right now is 4 years old, and still works perfectly fine, so unfortunately, I can't justify getting a new one right now. However, the CR-V would be much more practical for hauling kids around and all their stuff. Plus, the safety features are far superior.

I like the design of the new one, all roundy-like. I also like the design of the new Rav4's. Perhaps it's because they're more rounded like my own car (which doesn't have a miles to empty indicator if you can believe it even with all the other technology it has!). But then I've never had a miles to empty indicator so I've learned to live without one and fill up before I run out of gas (that's what the "guess" gage on the dash is for I suppose?) :D

I rarely drive my car for more than about 10 miles when the gas light comes on, and I think the farthest I've driven it is 20, but I would soooooo love something like that for my car. I still really love the boxy look, so I'll have to see it in person.
