Toast and traveling

district12ravenclawAt what age and/or milestones did you introduce zwieback toast and biter biscuits? On the box, it says not to give it to them until 10 months, but I seem to remember people introducing them earlier than that. I've tried giving him puffs, but he's not interested in the least.
Has anyone ever taken a trip with a baby on a train? We're taking the train to Chicago on our way to the Hockey Hall of Fame in June, and we will probably be getting a roomette. If not, would I have to pay for a seat for Owen to put him in his carseat? Even with a roomette, I don't know how we're going to fit Owen in there, because there is literally room for a bed and nothing more; his Pack 'n Play probably won't fit. I could use some guidance, thanks!
