Blue Man Group was awesome last night! Our seats were really good, but of course I got stuck behind a tall lady with bitch bangs. It was a really fun show though.

You'll also be happy to know that Owen and I both did very well with our separation last night :). Earlier in the day, I seriously thought I was going to cry when I left, but I was perfectly fine walking out the door. Owen went to bed a little later than usual, and ended up waking up right as the show was ending, so he was up when we got home. The benefit to that is that he ended up not getting up for the day until 10:30 this morning, sweet!

The view from our seats. This was at the hockey arena where the Ducks play, and our seats were basically right at center ice:

This is looking straight up from our seats, at the jumbotron used at the Ducks games:

On the right, the lady with the bitch bangs. On the left, the girl who thought a regular bra was perfectly appropriate to wear with a halter top. A kind samaritan sitting next to us helped her pin her bra to her top later:

You can see on the screen behind them that they're turning a camera to the audience:

Explaining rock concert movements. I think this one was the head bob:

I got it too late, but this was the rock concert movement of throwing your arms in the air and yelling:

Yeah, I'm not doing that:

They have a slingshot here, and they're launching guitar picks into the crowd. We got three:

Sorry these next ones are so blurry. They started walking through the audience:

Bringing people up on stage. The kid on the right was at the end of our row:

A marshmallow sculpture:

Glowing suits:

Cool photos. We saw them a few years ago here in Pittsburgh. It sounds just like what we saw. Did they have a singer with them? When they were here they had a girl sing and she was excellent. I wish I could remember her name. I'm cracking up over the bra chick. That's just beyond wrog.

I love BMG!! When I lived in MA, I used to volunteer at their shows so I got to see them for free...I just had to do some fun stuff before the shows and then clean up the theater afterward. It was totally worth it.

Sounds like you guys had a fun night out! We saw BMG in Vegas a few years ago when we went there for Sonny's 30th. It was pretty interesting! He loved it b/c at the time, he was really into drumming, so he loved all the beats they did. I'll be at the POND on Tuesday watching the Stars hopefully beating the Ducks' asses. ;)

Yeah, they had a female singer with them, and I'm trying to remember her name, but it's not coming to me :(. That girl in front of us was ridiculous. The guy sitting next to me was right behind her, and she kept lifting her camera up to get pictures, so he had to keep moving his head to see around her.

They play their own music using PVC pipes, and also have a backup band. They do a lot of funny skits throughout it too. The whole story in this tour is that they bought this DVD on how to become a megastar. So it goes through and says that you have to learn certain movements (head bobbing, jumping up and down, yelling, the one-handed fist pump, etc), and do certain things to make your audience happy (giving away things, bringing them up on stage, acknowledging the artists who influenced them, etc). It's just all around silliness, but it's a lot of fun :).

They are a lot of fun. They're touring right now; you should check out their website or Ticketmaster to see if they're playing near you.

We saw them in Vegas during our honeymoon, and I have to admit that I like the Vegas show better.

Have fun at the POND!

I've always wondered... what exactly do they DO during their shows? I mean, I saw your pics but I'm still clueless. I thought all they did was beat on drums with paint inside them? What else do they do... comedy?

They do lots of little skits and funny stuff. I guess it's kinda hard to describe what they do. I took some video, but I don't think I can post them because of copyright laws.

Looks awesome! I want to see them some day! There is a kids show on here, where they talk to this 7 year old, and show her about what they do and the make-up and such! Glad both you and Owen survived!
