It smells good in here!

We got our Christmas tree today, and OH MY GOD IT SMELLS SO GOOD!!! I LOVE the smell of Christmas trees; they are quite possibly my favorite smell of all time. A small lot was set up down the street from our house, so Steve, Owen, and I walked over there to check it out. The people there were from Oregon, selling trees in California for the first time. There were hardly any trees on the lot; the guy said that he couldn't move them out fast enough. We picked out a pretty Douglas fir, and since our stupid asses walked there, the guy threw the tree in the back of his truck and drove it to our house. Pretty sweet huh? They actually deliver trees, awesome! It's all set up in our living room, and when Owen went to bed, I put the ornaments on it. I also put up a few decorations, so it's looking festive in our house now, hooray!

It was so neat to watch Owen looking at the tree for the first time. I forget that he's never seen a Christmas tree before, and I love being able to see all these new things through his eyes. It must be so cool to be a baby and have everything be a new experience.

Earlier today, Owen and I went to rancid13's son Tyler's first birthday. He was such a little cutie, and there were lots of babies there, so that was nice for Owen, though he was a bit younger and didn't really interact. The cake was so yummy. It had bananas in it, I was in heaven!
