Happy Thanksgiving!
Nov. 23rd, 2007 02:26 pmI hope all of my fellow Americans had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was great; Owen got to meet some new family members, and he was very well-behaved. Then came the hour and a half drive home, which he wasn't so crazy about. He went nuts for the first half hour, then we pulled over and got the diaper bag out of the trunk so that we could get his teething gel out. He screamed for about 5 more minutes, then fell asleep for the rest of the trip.
We weren't going to dare try Christmas shopping today, but there were some good deals, so we braved it anyway. We didn't head out until 11am though, so we didn't get any early bird doorbuster specials or anything. The mall was a zoo, and JCPenney was trashed. I hate that people turn into such pigs during the shopping season and think it's okay to throw things on the floor. I worked retail for 4 Christmas seasons, so I try to be a little more courteous. We just went shopping for Steve's parents. All of their towels, pillows, and blankets are old and nasty, so we got them a bunch of new ones. So we've got two people done, yay!
