Owen is 3 weeks old today!
Me - Feeling great! If I overdo it, then I feel a little soreness, and I have very little spotting right now. On the whole, I'm very happy with how my recovery has gone. We took Owen on his first real outing this past weekend, to the Orange County Fair, fun times! I even NIP'd for the first time too, go me!
Steve - Doing well being back at work. Owen makes a lot of little baby grunting noises at night, which keeps Steve awake, so I try to take him out in the living room to let daddy get some sleep.
Owen - I love him!!! We see little smiles on him all the time, which I'm sure are gas smiles, but look like he's really up to no good. I think he's hitting his 3-week growth spurt because he wants to eat all. the. time. He still likes to cluster feed too. I guess he's just a grazer or something. He's been getting more fussy in the evenings lately, which I expected, but it's frustrating sometimes. He can usually be soothed with some boob though, but it makes it difficult to do anything else, like make dinner or clean house. Luckily, Steve took him for a little while when we were working on de-cluttering our kitchen.
Us - Our relationship has been awesome since Owen was born. I was really afraid we would get so wrapped up in the baby that we wouldn't have any energy to devote to the two of us. We've been talking more, and in general, we've been happy. That's a big relief.
