Today is the day!
Mar. 6th, 2006 07:35 amDr. Phil's crew is going to be at my house in about 3 1/2 hours! Last night, Steve and I spent about 5-6 hours cleaning the house, and it's looking pretty damn good. I've also FINALLY managed to get my pictures up on the wall, even though some of them are ruined from one of the cats peeing on them :(. The bathroom still needs a good cleaning, but I had to wait until Steve wasn't around because he trashes it whenever he's in there, and I don't just mean the toilet. He leaves water all over the sink and doesn't flick the extra water from his hands when he's done washing, so the hand towel gets all soggy and nasty. Ew.
I'm going to open up a bunch of baby websites on here right now to get that out of the way, so that they can record me going on the internet. Kari, I'm totally putting your website up; maybe I can get you some free press! I also plan to open my Ladies in Waiting thread, the clucky community here on LJ, and probably the BRU website as well.
The assistant producer called us yesterday and asked if we had any friends with babies. I said no, since all of you lovely mommies out there have kids that are older than what they are looking for. But then I realized, duh!, my cousin Heather has a 5 month old baby girl, perfect! Basically, they want me to be holding the baby, and then pass her off to Steve, saying things like "isn't she cute?" and "doesn't it make you want one?", stuff like that. Steve is kind of freaking out about this part, since he really isn't comfortable around babies. I consider this a little bit of payback for my initial discomfort for going on the show. Only fair, yes?
I'll try to pop in here before they come over, but I still have to clean! I have mirrors, the bathroom, and I want to try to hose off the patio and porch, since there's so much dust from the equestrian center. Woo hoo!
