When I took my certification exam last week, Steve was going to surprise me by coordinating with my family to take me out to dinner. We ended up not going last week, but made plans to do it this week instead. My dad just called to find out what time we wanted to get together, and I ended up suggesting a different restaurant because we were going to go to Olive Garden, but we just went there on Friday to visit with Steve's aunt. Fine, no problem.

But of course, there is a problem. And his name is Steve. He doesn't want to go out to dinner until 7 or 7:30 because, oh my God, he just HAS to watch the stupid football games today. He knew about this last week, and it was his idea, and now he wants to make it convenient for him! That so pisses me off. My dad wasn't happy about that either; he said that we were celebrating an accomplishment for me, and that Steve didn't get to call the shots. I agree.

So now Steve is being all mopey, telling me that I've "won." We have a TiVo, record the damn game! Plus, the restaurant doesn't even open until 4:30, so he can watch most of the first half before we'd have to leave. Am I the one being selfish here, or is he?

There's a thread in CC in the Chit Chat forum, where someone asked if we all get tested for HIV and other STDs during our annual exam. Instead of people just answering yes or no, it turned into this huge debate about how the poster doesn't trust her husband, and how dare she insinuate that other people don't trust theirs. Guess who participated? Our lovely friend, KarenS. I swear to God, that woman lives to stir shit up on that site. I answered the question, saying that I didn't get tested, but I wouldn't have a problem getting tested, and that it didn't mean that I don't trust my husband. Then I mentioned that all the snarkiness wasn't necessary, and here's what she wrote in response to me:

"Well I didn't think the implication that anyone who actually trusts her husband and chooses not to get tested is a moron was necessary either. So I guess we're even.

Karen"

Why is she such a bitch?! I just said back to her "Do you seriously have to argue everything? Believe it or not, not every thread on this site was made to offend you" and I'm sure she'll respond with something bitchy again. But I'm sooooooooooooo freaking tired of her joining every thread just so she can be a bitch. I can't stand her! I know I didn't help by posting that in there, but jeez. And I'm not one to join controversial threads or stir the pot at all.

Here's the thread for anyone who's interested:
