Plans and resolutions
Dec. 31st, 2005 11:10 amI can't believe it's New Years Eve already! This year has gone by so freaking fast. In January, I was still trudging through school, and hating my job at the district, and now, I've found a great job working at a plastic surgeon's office! Good times.
Tonight, Steve and I are going to my friend Marcie's parents' house to celebrate the new year. I'm not sure if we'll actually stay until the ball drops, because there is supposed to be some huge storm coming in, and I'd really rather not have to drive in the rain with a bunch of drunk people. Driving it sober is hard enough for people in California. In addition to it being a New Year's party, it's also a going away party. Her husband is a Marine and he's being deployed to Iraq in January, which just terrifies the shit out of me. He'll be there for a year, and I just pray that he'll return home safely.
So here is my list of wonderful things that happened this year:
1. I got a job working at a plastic surgeon's office
2. I graduated from school with a 4.0
3. Steve and I celebrated two years of marriage
4. Steve and I celebrated seven years of being together
5. We went to Utah, Vegas, and Arizona this year for various trips
6. I left my boring job at the school district
7. We had a great Christmas
And here are my resolutions for this year:
1. Eat healthier! I seriously need to give up more of the fast food. I'm not as bad as Steve, but still
2. Exercise! At least three times a week; I'm not going to make it more or I will never do it
3. Let my poor iguana out of her cage more
4. Pass my certification exam
5. TTC
6. Be a better housekeeper
7. Learn to cook more meals
That's all I can think of for right now. If I think of more, I'll add to them. Have a happy new year everyone!
