Progress on Owen's room

Below are some pictures of the progress of the walling off of the door in Owen's room.


Before. This door goes into our laundry room, but we can just as easily get there through the kitchen, which is why we've decided to remove it. It's not on the track right now, which is why it looks crooked in the doorway. Zero knocked it over 3 times in the middle of the night:

After one coat of paint, still wet. I still need to put on another one:


We also purchased some cellular shades in a slate blue color to replace those God-awful pink blinds. They should be arriving next week.

Thanks! I'm all too anxious to get rid of those horrible pink blinds, so ugly! We're picking up the furniture on Sunday, so hopefully, we can start putting it together.

Very cool Heather! That is so strange that there was a doorway there to begin with! So the people that did the work didn't paint it?

I have no idea why there was a door there to begin with, so strange! These guys were drywallers, so I don't think they do paint. I'd have to get a painter for that, but I just did it myself. I don't think I did a very even job, but I'll wait until tomorrow to see if it dries well.

Thanks! It's called Sage Green by Glidden. It's funny how it looks different in every picture, but the closest to the true shade is probably the second picture from the bottom.

Thanks! We originally had Owen at the top of our list, but Steve's mom was very vocal about how she didn't like the name, so we considered Nathan. When we found out he was a boy, we started going back and forth, and then we were able to find a way to use both names, hence Owen Nathaniel :).

you know whats crazy? I was talking to one of my friends and her baby BOY is due JUNE 17th as well. also her sister has a baby BOY due June 17th. Its crazy that all three of you are due on June 17th and have baby boys.
