3 more days

I'm not counting today, so I only have three days left here, yay! This morning, I'm having a really hard time staying awake. I don't know what the deal is, but I'm guessing that the time change is kicking my butt pretty hard. I was about two seconds away from crawling under my desk and taking a nap, but I got up and walked around for a second, so I have a temporary boost of energy.
Other than work, there isn't too much going on right now. School is starting to wind down as well, which is exciting and scary. It's hard to believe that in just a couple of weeks, I'll be doing everything I learned in class for real! We have another field trip to the hospital on Wednesday, which I'm very much looking forward to. As much as I love school, I'm ready for it to be over, especially because the place is turning into freaking high school. I've made two really good friends in class, and we all kind of tend to stick together and help each other out. These are actually the two who I've basically been put in charge of teaching. There is another girl in class who is okay sometimes, but other times, she can be a real bitch. We just tend to not talk to her, so she thinks we're all against her. I have neither the time nor the energy to care enough to be against her. But since she's so convinced of this, she has taken the two newest people and gotten them on "her side." It's so incredibly lame. Someone needs to grow up. She acts like she knows everything, and she is always answering questions wrong. She's been helping the newest girls through class, and she basically tells them what to do during the entire procedure. How the hell are they supposed to learn anything when she's sitting right there telling them every step?! Many times, when our teacher asks a question, he directs it at a specific person, and only they are supposed to answer. Well, she apparently doesn't get this, because she either blurts out the answer, or she whispers the answer to the person he's asking. So annoying. She also likes to use her kid to get out of class. She had a baby at 17, and it seems like she doesn't take care of him because she's always out with her friends on the weekends, getting totally plastered. But when it's convenient for her, she uses him as an excuse to leave early or whatever, by saying that it's open house night, or back to school night, just a bunch of crap. But anyway, I'm glad to only have to deal with her for two more weeks.
I just got a letter in the mail from the State Controller, telling me that Target owes me $125.08 from back wages when I worked there in 1998. Woo hoo, it's like free money! I have to make sure I fill out the claim form and mail it back.

Date: 2005-04-06 10:43 am (UTC)My professional program ended up being like high school. My job now is the same way, as are my night classes. I'm thinking about becoming a hermit.
