Thanks! I bought the Moby from this tiny little shop in Fullerton. I had originally gone to get a Hotsling, but I didn't like any of the fabric choices, so I went with the Moby instead. It does take a little effort to get it all together, but I managed to get it on the first try. I've done the cradle hold (that last picture), but then Owen woke up and got fussy, so now I'm using the hug hold, which is like the carry position in a Baby Bjorn.
I'm glad you love the Moby :) I loved mine and even though I get some pretty weird looks (as in "thanks for the big piece of stretchy fabric crazy lady"), I like to give them as shower gifts now.
What a little cutie! I'm starting to be able to see bits of both of you in his facial features.
Is that a wee-wee pad on his changing table?? Target has some cute (& cheap) Munchkin brand disposable/reusable changing pad covers. We have those and some smaller ones to keep in the diaper bag.
I've been too intimidated to use a Moby or any of the wraps. I had a sling for the first couple months, but now we use a Beco (got it at Xpecting over in CM).I think Sonny loves it even more than I do!
Thanks! We put a chux pad down on the changing table cover so that we don't ruin it. I bought a package of them at the store, thinking that I would need them for me when we came home from the hospital, but since I didn't need them, we found another good use :). The Moby does look pretty intimidating, but there are instructions and different holds that you can use, so it's pretty cool. I was able to get it on the first try, though I did feel like it was twisted.
Awwwww....I love that one of you with him on your chest. He looks so much like his mommy! Glad to hear you like the Moby wrap. I'm trying to decide between that and the Peanut Shell. I want to register for both but DH is being stubborn and just wants me to pick one. Grrrrrr....
I have a wrap very very similar to the Moby and loved it. I wish I had used it more but with the Canadian winters it wasn't too practical for walks. If I ever have a spring baby I doubt I would use much else for the first few months.
Thank you! I really wanted a Hotsling in addition to the Moby, but they didn't have any patterns that I liked at the store I went to. If I had to choose, I'd go with the Moby, because you can do a bunch of different carries in it, and I think you can wear it longer.
Thank you! The first day in the Moby didn't go too badly, thank God! I put him in it for Steve's hockey game last night, and he slept through the entire thing, nice!
If you don't mind, how much did you pay for your Beco? Did they have different patterns? I've been looking at them, but I can't decided between the Metro Black, Sky Temple, and Fushia Spider (if I am feeling really wild).
I love the potential announcment picture! Owen is getting huge - At first glance, I see Steve, but then when I looked at the rest of the pictures I see a great mix of the both of you.
I think it was about $115 or thereabouts. They only had a black & a mocha one left when I got mine. I had actually ordered one from the econabies website, but my confirmation email said it would take 4-6 weeks to arrive. The lady at Xpecting said that the Becos sell out pretty quick, but you can always call to see what they have in stock.

I didn't know you had a moby. I have seen people wearing them and I don't think I would be able to figure it out. Is it hard?
