I've basically ignored Steve all day, so when we were on our way down to get our taxes done, he finally asked me what was wrong. I was rude and asked him if he was really that stupid. Then I lit into him about how mean he was to me last night when all I was trying to do was help. That, of course, snowballed into a bigger fight about the whole Dr. Phil thing. Tanya, you would be proud of me, because I told him the things that you said in your response to me yesterday. I didn't tell him that they were from you, but I did say that we had bigger issues with his unwillingness to compromise, and his temper.

We grabbed some food, and then went over to the tax office, so we had to play nice at that point. Our tax guy is pretty cool; really laid back, and has a really sarcastic sense of humor. We are going to be getting almost $2100 back in taxes this year, woo hoo! Half of that comes from the education credit for me going to school, so yay for education! We are getting about $1700 from federal and almost $400 from state. Sweet. We could definitely use the money, so this is a blessing, and will pay for our car insurance as well.

We didn't talk to each other at all once we left the office. At one point, the sun was coming in from the side and was kinda bothering me, so I put my hand up. Then Steve grabbed the visor and swung it in front of the window so that I could see. My ice queen heart melted a little bit when he did that :). I'm such a sucker.
