Look who's back!
Feb. 23rd, 2005 03:51 pmDang, I sure don't come on here a lot when I'm at work. Just goes to show how bored I am over there :). I've had the past three days off from work, so a nice five-day weekend for me, woo hoo! It's going to suck getting up tomorrow. I should've just taken the next two days off, like the smart people in the office did.
I had Monday off from school too, so it was a really nice weekend. I had school last night, and did my third procedure in the class, removal of the gallbladder. I get major performance anxiety, and I hate that my teacher stands behind me and watches, like he's waiting for me to make a mistake. Just because he's been doing this for 500 years doesn't mean that the rest of us have any clue about what we're doing. I know he tries to be tough so that we can learn more, but that doesn't work very well with me. When we only get one shot to do the procedure, it's really tough to do it all perfectly on the first try, especially when he deviates from what's written on our procedure sheet. If I was doing the procedure for the third time, sure I could understand wanting to mix things up a bit. But don't change things around on the one and only time that I do it, I can't learn that way!
I actually have to leave for school in about 20 minutes, so I'll write more tomorrow, when I'm back at work.
