Merry Christmas!
Dec. 25th, 2004 05:09 pmI hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas today! Mine is going pretty well; there are a lot of family members crammed into my little house, so it feels very cozy. We've just finished eating and will be doing our annual gift exchange soon.
Last night didn't go very well. Steve had a horrible attitude, and I decided to go to bed at about 10pm without traditionally opening a gift. He had totally ruined my mood, so I didn't feel like opening anything. He stayed up until about 2:30, so we got up late this morning.
I was really excited about Steve opening his computer as his last gift, but when he opened it, he said that we could afford it and that we had to take it back. I was totally heartbroken. I know I shouldn't be, and he's probably right that we can't afford it right now, but that was not the reaction I was hoping to get. I started to cry, so I got up and started getting ready for family to come over. I'm hoping that he's changed his mind over the course of the day, but who knows.
As far as I go, I got a ton of movies (Napolean Dynamite, Dodgeball, A Christmas Story, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Airplane, and Labyrinth), the Alias video game, the Alias soundtrack, the Alias shirt that I wanted, TiVo (yay!), and my big secret gift from Wandring Rebel was an autographed Michael Vartan Alias trading card. I love it! From my family, I got an emergency blanket and glow stick for my car, some gloves, the Scene It board game, Star Wars Trilogy, Old Navy gift card, Olive Garden gift card, and a little mouse for my laptop.
Everything turned out really well with hosting Christmas. Half my family is out in the backyard talking, and the other half is in the living room watching sports. We'll be starting our gift exchange soon, which is always fun, especially now that my crazy aunt isn't here.
