Boys are babies
I got home from school early last night (yay!) to find Steve lying on the living room floor, playing video games. I asked if he had gone to work, since I hadn't received any email from him, and he said that he stayed home because he had a sore throat and his tonsils were swollen. First of all, his tonsils are always swollen because he has allergies. Second of all, his throat is sore because he runs the damn heater all day and night, and it dries out his throat. He just hasn't figured that out yet.
Since I had gotten home early from school, I decided that I was going to go to bed relatively early too. I hopped in at about 10, and was excited at the thought of getting at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep, since I have one alarm that goes off an hour before I really wake up.
I woke up at 12:30 and realized that Steve wasn't in bed yet, so I went out into the living room, where he was sitting in the dark. I asked what he was doing, and he said that the power had just gone out. I called work and let them know I might be late because I might not have an alarm to wake me up in the morning because of the outage. I figured there was nothing I could do, so I went back to bed. I woke up a couple hours later, and Steve said that the power had come back on, and he was setting my alarms for me.
I woke up again at 4am, and Steve was still up playing video games. I told him that he needed to come to bed because he had to work, and he said that he had already called out sick for today too. Argh! He is so not sick; he's just being a freaking wuss. I got pretty pissed off, and let him have it.
Needless to say, I wasn't able to get the nice night of sleep that I was hoping for. I woke up at least 4 or 5 times during the night. I'm tired, I have a headache, and now I have a sore throat from that damn heater. And then I get to work, and I have to deal with all these idiots. Blah.
Sorry to be so cranky today :(.
