6th place works for me

Last night was the Ducks' final game of the season, against the Calgary Flames. Since Colorado lost last night (thank you Colorado!), we clinched 6th in the Western Conference, and the outcome of our game didn't really matter. Yes I know, Dawn and Jennifer, that your teams did better than us in the standings :p. But we kicked both your asses in 2003, and if we have to, we'll do it again :D!

Luckily, we won 4-3, though it should've been 4-2, because Giguere let in a truly marvelously crappy goal. No more going behind the net Giggy! It was a really exciting game, full of many many fights, and we're going to be playing Calgary in the playoffs, so it's going to get really interesting. We have tickets to the 3 (if there are 3) playoff home games against them, so we'll get to see all the action. At one point, one of the refs was pushing a Calgary player back into the penalty box, it was insane! And since Steve is sick and has no voice, I didn't have to hear him screaming all night, oh joy!

Steve is still feeling pretty crappy, so I almost had to drag him to the game last night. We hit Quizno's on the way there, and I got a Southwestern bread bowl. Oh my God, has anyone tried their bread bowls? They are soooooooooo good! They don't make a bowl with their chicken noodle soup, it's too watery and will just soak through the bread, but Steve really wanted some, so I asked if they would put some in a bowl for him. I guess it turned out pretty good.

I woke up at about 6:40 this morning, and Steve wasn't in bed. I figured that he had gotten up to play poker online, like he did the day before. But instead, I found him sleeping on the couch! Poor guy, I guess he kept clearing his throat or something, and didn't want to wake me up, so he went and slept on the couch. I felt so badly that he did that; he's the sick one, he should be in bed and I should be the one out on the couch. But he had only been there since about 5, so I felt a lot better that he wasn't out there all night. Plus, our couch is pretty comfortable to sleep on. I hope he's back in bed now.

Tomorrow is the big day for me and Dylan :D! He's a little under the weather today, with a headache and a cough, so he's been in his room all morning, and I haven't really heard a peep out of him. He's watching "The Incredibles" again. We watched it 3 times yesterday, and I still haven't seen it all the way through! I can't wait for tomorrow though; he's going to have so much fun! And with the 2fer pass, we'll be going back on Thursday to visit California Adventure for free!

They proved themselves to me this season and earned my respect and love back...I mean, they freaking secured the #2 spot just below the practically unbeatable Red Wings. Not bad. Of course, I had to miss the last 3 times the Stars came out here to play the Kings/Ducks because of my grandpa's burial and memorial, and being in Mammoth. But I've kept up with them fairly well thanks to the internet and the web browser on my phone. :D I still won't wear my jersey though, that's another bit of respect they still have to earn from me.

Nice, uh, icon change there ;). Did I mention that we bought season tickets for next season? That sucks that you didn't get to go to any of the games :(.

Well, best of luck to your team, and hopefully, we won't cross paths :D!
